Hoss Home Care on a residential carpet . . . - Hoss - 11-05-2012

I have another job that I will submit for the monthly contest, but the results from this job were outstanding and I wanted to share. The carpet had been professionally cleaned about three years ago using one of the big vendors 'steam' cleaning methods - which had not removed the stains in the carpeting. Because of the amount of soil, pet fur, and dust in the carpeting, I started with a hot water extraction after agitating with a carpet rake and vacuuming.

I followed the HWE with the Hos Orbot Sprayborg and En-cap Hydrox. I felt that the hydrox would be effective because of the amount of organic material contained in the stains. I used the bonnet method in two passes and followed with a dry bonnet. The results were outstanding - I took the picture right after the dry bonnet pass and fluffing the carpet with a rake - the edges were still a bit damp but they dried to the same color as the rest of the carpet. The customer was very satisfied:

Looks great!

What pads did you use?

What was the temp at the wand?

Thanks for all those kind remarks - To the VegasCarpetCleaningPros - I used the terry cloth cotton bonnets.

Most of the private homes here have tankless oil heat / hot water on demand - which is very hot. The water temperature in contact with the carpet was a least around 140-150 degrees. I used the Steamin Demon for HWE - which is similar to a very large wand. The owners get to watch the drama unfold because the discharge hose on the Demon is clear and all of the sludge getting extracted is visible as it moves from the head to the drain.
