Is this normal? 1st test brushencap machine

After testing brushencap crb for first time, this is what it pulled up.

Is this normal?

Yes it is!
That is the great thing about a CRB!
It can get all the crap out of the carpet!
I believe that to be extra fiber from when the carpet was made.
Not all fibers are properly connected. Some they add to make the carpet look fuller.
I think that is what you have there.

I think Shorty may have nailed it. It looks like your CRB has pulled up "staple fiber". That is the surplus fiber leftover in the yarn from the manufacturing process. No harm removing it.
