Fibre Plus pads - how to tell when to replace and how to clean
#1
Hi all,
Firstly thanks for a great informative forum. I hope to not only learn what I can, but also pass on my experience and opinions where necessary.
I have recently changed to Releasit DS and Fibreplus pads and am very happy with what I am seeing. My question is, how can you tell when a pad needs replacing (can the thickness eg 10mm be a guide) and what is the best method of cleaning at the end of the day (I currently hose the pad off and remove as much as I can)?
Thanks
Cammo

Good questions.

Run the FiberPlus pads down till they're about 6-7mm or 1/4". A ballpark average should get you about 7,000-10,000 sq feet per pad installation (65-90 sq meters). Of course, there are always variables due to the different types of carpet fiber and with varying speeds of cleaning.

If you're using a shampoo tank, the detergent is running through the FiberPlus pad, or pads in the case of the Cimex. As the juice runs through the pad, the pads are being perpetually rinsed so they don't get too heavily soiled, and further cleaning is not generally necessary.

If you're spraying the detergent down, the FiberPlus pads will act like a bonnet and they'll absorb soil. In this case, you should plan to periodically rinse the pads. They rinse out nicely by spraying them with a hose, or you can give them a rinse in a janitor sink. The polyester fiber doesn't hold soil too badly, so they rinse out fairly well.

P.S. I'm glad to hear that you like our Releasit and the FiberPlus pads Smile
