NOT CC - In a Leather
#1
Rick & Nancy are so lucky to live in Florida, a place I imagine, (as I've not been there), to be somewhat similar in climate to my own little patch.

Nice temps; plenty of wind & rain during the wet & NO SNOW.

But, I digress, here's a couple of pics from yesterday.

Some of you may have seen my ugly mug, but this is my partner in Grime, Del.

'n this is the country we must suffer working in.

NO SNOW !!!!!!!!

We'd just finished one leather suite, one more to go.

This is some of her handiwork.

Then it was time for lunch with a couple of coldies and off to the next suite in an empty house.

I don't always clean carpets. Tongue

Yes, Shorty - Florida is lovely - short sleeve weather all week.

That chair looks awesome! Did she paint it clean? Wink

That's nothing... My little kids can make a chair look just like that too in just a matter of minutes. Honest!!!

They then can make the WHOLE chair look like the left side in just a few minutes more. Smile

ps.. It's 12 degrees F here and I just got home from a night of plowing, err...I mean scrubbing grocery store floors. While dust mopping, I get a whole dustpan full of gravel, grit, crud and unknown debris from EVERY aisle. No JOKE. Plus, the county here spreads fly-ash, a byproduct of the coal fired electric plants, all over the roads along with way too much salt and gravel.
Wall to wall grey colored CRUD. I HATE winters!!!!!

Shorty,

What did you do to get the chair cleaned. Your process?

Also, behind ever good man is a really good women. She looks happy and that's what counts.

Because that was a "P" type leather (Pigmented/Protected) we used a Fenice' product.

This product was originally made by a private supplier on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland.

Fenice' bought him out along with his product line.

It is called Leathertex and is a cleaner/conditioner in one.

We also use microfibre sponges (lightly), on "P" type leathers to cut through the crud easier.

When they're really bad, we revert to the Cyclo with brushes.

Also plenty of clean towels to wipe off each section when finished.

We also then wash with a wet towel and then towel dry to remove any further slurry/crud.

Those look like great results. It looks like you can't get LeatherTex easily in the States ~ at least through Amazon. Has anyone found a good leather cleaner / conditioner they would recommend as suitable and economical for commercial use? I found brit 4, but it still seems very expensive at a dollar per ounce. I get great results cleaning leather and vinyl with my dry vapor steamer, but leather still needs conditioning after cleaning to keep it supple.

I don't know if Rick sells any leather specialist cleaners, etc;

If not, I would contact these guys:

I have a lot of respect for Lonnie, very, very knowledgeable man, only wish I could've done one of his courses instead of the very brief session at Connections in the Riviera.

I spent a few amazing days with John and Stephanie in Joliet, south of Chicago a few years back in his plant.
