Can you tell which Cimex is used?

A customer had a couple of well worn Cimex machines. He traded in one of them, and he had Rodney restore the second one.

Here's what Rodney does when he restores a machine. He tears it down completely - down to the very last bolt. He then cleans, paints, restores, and replaces any item on the machine as the need arises.

On the machine below there is a brand new motor, new tank, new tank bracket, new lifting rod, new Big Boy Wheel Kit, new set of pad drivers, new brush pulley bearing, new belt, new switch knob, new Kodiak cord, new bumper shield, new cable hook, new swivel clamp rod, new switch box cover, new pivot bracket. In other words - it's a nicely refurbished machine!

The image below shows what Rodney is capable of.

You can ship us your old Cimex or Orbot, and we can perform any level of repair - from basic stuff up to a full restore like this one.

By the way, this refurbished Cimex is for sale for $2250 (including shipping).

Shown next to a brand new Cimex to show how it compares. Smile

Looks good. Any "before" pics?

No before pics. That would've been a good idea. In fact this one came to us in pieces, disassembled, the motor had been removed from the machine.

The Cimex closest to the camera is the refurbished one.

Heavy duty lead.

New machine still has cable tie around the cable.

Old style solution trigger without on-lock, or cable tie holding trigger up.

Electrical cable on side of motor on newer model.

Lifting handle not chrome plated/stainless.

Rubberised handle grips replaced with non original grips.

Pivot arms are painted with a matte finish, not glossy like newer models.

I think that's about it.

The pivot arms look to made of heavier material on the rebuilt?

Another good observation. I don't know that it's any beefier, just a slightly different design.
