dark spots

I cleaned a store yesterday and noticed a lot of gum spots. They did not come out with the Cimex of course but there were other black marks from soda or food. I would of thought that SV and the Cimex would have taken them out. Am I doing something wrong?

The carpet was a 13 year old glue down that has been maintained but there is wear. Visualy it really looked good for 13 years old. It is a light color. How do you get all these black spots out?

Need to ask a couple of questions:

1. What size were the spots? Small. Or where they the size of a drink spill?
2. Was it olefin fiber?

Rick, Most of the spots were small. Quarter size, some a litttle bigger and some smaller.

My quess is olefin.

Oh no! I was thinking that might be the case.

Small dark spots that don’t come out indicates that someone has quite likely used a solvent gel gum remover like the crap that Chemspec makes. It will leave behind a tenacious dark spot that is basically impossible to remove. I've tried everything g to get that garbage out of olefin carpet and I haven’t succeeded.

That's why I use Prochem Citrus Gel. It comes out.

I don't know what to suggest. Perhaps you could remind them how much everyone loved The 101 Dalmatians.

Sorry!
