| Well it was one of those cases where the carpet was so trashed and overdue for cleaning and you underbid it. It was a dealership that had put off cleaning their carpets to have their lot paved (the mess of paving) and the weather turned bad, so it never got done (lot paving or the carpet cleaning). So after cleaning the dealership with the rx20,220 degree heat, nasty degreasers and a spotter bottle of pog for all the grease spots--the whole job looked terrible!!! On top of it the assistant manager's friend was the last cleaner and he kept giving me a hard time asking me --is that all the cleaner it will come? Or walking by giving me a shaking head look.
So realizing I was not gonna make any good money on the job- I decided to reclean it with the Cimex and SV. After that quick cleanig the job looked 70% better. I don't think the cimex and SV would of worked due to the high trashedness of the carpet the first time around, but after a HWE it worked great!!! It evened out the carpet and took alot of the grey wear out of the carpet. Oh by the way the carpet was grey to begin with also.
I had talked them(before I cleaned it) into a 2 month cleaning with encap so I did the job over again in hopes of saving that repeating cleaning.
Looking forward to hearing what they say on Friday.

Hey Tony,
That's great, man. No doubt you will keep the job as no one could touch the results you achieved with the double-clout, wham bam of a combo.
We recently did some hallways at a little mall and chose to use the Cimex and SV for all the main hallways and used the TM wand for edges and stairs. It was our best performance yet on this job, also with the fastest time and no wick-backs or call-backs like the last time.
Hail CImex and Spin Vac.
Oh yeah, I forgot. It don't work.
Yep,

Tony and Steve it's GREAT to hear about your successes!
I have found that in TRASHED conditions I can get the needed results by just slowing down and making extra dry passes. I normally get depressed if production dips under 2K sq ft per hour. But on trashed carpet I’ve found that going as slow as 1K sq ft per hour will get the job done satisfactorily. I think we could say that it’s an interim method at 2K – 3K, and it’s a restorative method at 1K.
On a trashed carpet try this… Pre-spray the traffic lanes with SV. Mix heated SV in the Cimex. Make one short-ish wet-pass. Then follow up with 2,3,4 or 5 slow dry passes. This will cut your production time down to 1K sq ft per hour. But you’ll be amazed at what you can accomplish.

Hey guys...you did all this successful cleaning without the benefit of a 4 wand,300 degree firebreather
with a 1000 foot of hose to carry around ?.....lol.
On comm'l,we don't even think of hwe anymore, unless it's a special situation. All the water flow and heat in the world does no good if your being called back due to wicking...a problem on comm'l.
As we go after more and more comm'l,I know a Cimex is in our future. Rich Gallina loaned me his for a job a couple weeks ago.....I was blown away,as were the clients. For now,our Chemstractor and 3 OP machines serve us well for comm'l. Lock the doors, put on the oldies and make money. |

Hey Mike,
Yeah, nothin' like great oldies while you're working. My oldies are from the 50's and 60's. I've never heard many of the "oldies" from the 80's and 90's, ha ha. |
