Puff Pads / Hair Pads

Hi Guys!

The new Puff pads should be here on Monday. A couple of you have inquired about them, so here is everything I know about the Puff pads. The Puff pads were specifically designed for carpet shampooing.

Pluses associated with the Puff pads as compared to the hair pads:
They are sturdier/denser, so they last longer.
They create more foam – less detergent is used.

Pluses with the hair blend pads as compared to the Puff pads:
They are little bit more aggressive.
They are less expensive. The Puff pads are $23 for 9 pads, the Glit hair pads are $17 for 10 pads (plus $5 shipping & handling).

The design of the Puff pads is a fairly costly process. This is why they sell for more. By comparison Etc can produce hair pads for the same price as the Glit hair pads that we’ve been using. The Puff pads are actually supposed to sell for $25, I'm discounting the price to $23 to try to make them a more accessible.

I’ll look forward to getting your feedback to see which pads you prefer. I have been satisfied with the hair pads, but some have felt that they were wearing too quickly. I’ll also continue to look into any pad options that will work well for commercial carpet cleaning with the Cimex.

I just got off the phone with Tom Rowe. He is interested in comparing Puff pads with Hair pads. It looks like we will continue to offer both styles of pads. I have just ordered a good size order of the Etc Gorilla brand hair pads. The Gorilla pads are comparable to the Glit pads, possibly even better. The Gorilla pads will be cut to 7-3/4" with no center hole.

The cool thing is that the Gorilla pads are packaged 5 to a case compared to 10 to a case for the Glit pads. The 10 case meant ordering 30 pads to get an even number for the Cimex. We will bundle 3 cases of Gorilla pads to provide 15 pads per order. That will provide 5 sets of pads for the Cimex. The 3 case package will sell for $25 plus $6 S&H. The Gorilla pads will actually cost less to use. The per pad delivered price will run $2.07 compared to $2.20 per pad with the Glit pads.

I'll let you all know when we have the new pads.
