Ok..so 2 years ago or so i move into this new town..walk into this large video music book store.."hastings" i dont now how far across the country they go...anyways I go do a demo..using rotary and 100% cotton pads...i impress the manager..he says i can do it..then i find out about this "national contractor" thing..first i had ever really dealt with that..so needless to say the price was much lower than I would have normally done..but being brand new..i figured might as well be working...my wife and I went to do the job....oh man..what a night mare...4 hours into it we are not even half way done..i ended up have to come back on another day..and ended up with probably 8 hours into...and it didnt clean up great..i got very impatient..and really didnt try very hard...after realizing how long a good job would take..but they did call me back to do it again 2 months later..i said NO THANKS ....since then this place has been through 4 more HWE cleaners...they clean it every 2 months...Its a green low profile olefin carpet with nice dark brownish traffic lanes through out...there are places...where even a prespray and the HWE doenst change the appearence..Its not like it looks good ..but uglies out after a week or so..NO..it just never even looks good after they do it...ive walked in the place the day after just to see if the new cleaner succeeded...no one has....so now...Im putting the cimex to the test...if it can get this place to look good.....it can clean anyplace. This is kind of my place to test the limits.

Rick..ever ran into the traffic lane that just wouldnt budge???...im sure you ve seen similar traffic lanes in commercial settings...I ran into a similar problem on a set of stairs recently..I did half with HWE and did not get even an appearance change..then i did the other half with spin vac and a hand brush...they looked a hundred times better...im hoping for similar results on this store...

Yes Joel, I have had some terribly dirty jobs that I've done with the Cimex. On the really bad ones I take my time and only clean at about half my normal speed. And I can usually coax them back to life pretty well. Bona fide miracles past from the earth 2000 years ago.

Record stores can be pretty harsh! I recently cleaned an FYE store that reminds me of your Hastings. It was in horrible condition.

Be prepared for a lot of gum. Heat your detergent. Pre-spray. Scrub with the hair pads. Make extra passes. And hope for the best.

Let us know how your job compares with what they've been accustomed to seeing. I'll be rootin for ya!
