Cimex on hard-surface for grout

December 16 2002 at 12:34 PM

I used the Cimex' harder nylon brushes on new tile to remove grout last week. They worked with Zip's Tarrazza cleaner, pretty much, but when I used 1:1 vinegar and water, the grout came off much easier.
This was grout left without any real attempt to remove the residue from the original grouting of the spaces between tiles, making it a terrible job.

I'm not sure how I should have priced this job, but I regret the little I got after I figured in the cost of the vinegar. I wish I could find vinegar cheap

Have you tried the Viper Venum. I heard that that stuff works great for grout and tile.

Stonetech restore is one of the best for removing grout haze. It is an acid but you can work with it safely compared to some others.
