Rick,

I was wondering if you see a difference in results between cleaning a blue/ gray carpet as to a brown/tan carpet. It seems I get better results when cleaning a brown/tan carpet. I am sure its me but can you offer any advise or tips

I haven't experienced a difference cleaning different colored carpets. Some carpets are easier to clean than others. I attribute that to carpet construction and level of soiling, rather than carpet color. I've had easy ones and difficult ones in all diiferent colors.

Blue Greys are and always have been one of the more difficult colors to clean, no matter which cleaning method you use. I do believe that you will see better results with a low moisture system such as a encapsulation cleaning vs. hot water extraction.
These colors are used a lot in polypropylene fibres and we know that they are also the most difficult to clean, usually respond better to any cleaning method that does not use alot of water.

When I first started in thei Biz, my distributor told me that all carpet in "Pastel" colors will be more difficult to clean than "Non-Pastel" colored carpet.
I tend to believe that. Everytime I clean one of those pastel blue, green(yuck), peach, pink, carpets I remember him telling me that they would be more difficult.
