Rick or to any that can answer, How long before you discard a set of pads? Do you go by the look of them or do they lose there effectiveness at some point? To those who have used the newer pads how do you like them as compared to the hair pads. Yes, I have read the past comments about them but looking for an update.

I use the pads till they're all used up. The new Puff pads and the Gorilla pads will wear down paper thin, and that's when I replace them. Tonight I was using the Puff pads and they had gotten so thin that the short prickly surface of the pad drivers actually penetrated through the pad (that's too thin). But that shows you how far they can go, till there isn't anymore. The old pads had a tendency to roll up before they would wear that thin.

BTW The more I use the Puff pads the more I like them. They clean very nicely. I've been using them on all types of carpets and they've been working great. I still have the Gorilla pads on the truck if I run into a job where it's really disgusting. But I haven't been needing the hair pads - the Puff pads are all I've been using lately.
