Tony,

Both the Cimex and Chemstractor machines are excellent for commercial carpet cleaning. Your Von Schrader can be a good unit for residential. I've spoken to many VS users who have developed a good residential business with their VS machines. However it’s not a great machine for commercial.

The Chemstractor is a rotary foam extraction machine. It has more head weight and scrubbing pressure than a Von Schrader. I’ve used them for years in my commercial business. In fact I still own 3 of them. With the Chemstractors we can clean 1,000-2,000 sq ft per hour.

The Cimex machine is a deeper scrubber than any other carpet machine on the market. It spins over twice as fast as a standard rotary like the Chemstractor and it has 3 brushes instead of 1 - so it's effectively 600% more efficient. On top of that, the brushes spin clockwise while the drive-deck turns counter-clockwise. So it scrubs in both directions at the same time. This creates an awesome scrubbing effect. Although it doesn't have onboard extraction, encapsulation produces great results. With the Cimex we can clean 2,000-3,000 sq ft per hour. And our carpets are looking great day-in day-out. So the Cimex is has advantages for my business.

I not only sell these machines, I've also used them on a nightly basis in my commercial business. So call me and I'll try to answer as many questions about these machines as you can come up with. You can give me a call anytime this week at 800-330-1888.
