Rotary vs Cimex

We had two small jobs in the same mall this evening. My wife went with me. Meanwhile our other carpet truck went out to do a job in a different mall (we have about a dozen malls in the Tampa Bay area). In our mall we were cleaning a Sharper Image store and a high-end ladies apparel store. I sent my wife to do the ladies apparel store with the Cimex because the store was smaller and easier for her to do. Meanwhile I cleaned the Sharper Image store with a Chemstractor.

Now I used to clean with Chemstractors all the time before we began using the Cimex machines. But I guess I've forgotten just how much of a difference there is. Man, I went over the carpet slowly with the Chemstractor but it still didn't match what I expect to see with the Cimex. I went over some sections two and three times. But it still didn't have the bold clean look I expected. Conclusion: there's a pretty significant contrast in the results between a rotary and a Cimex.

I'm sure most of you know that I'm a fan of strong agitation. But I haven't been using a rotary machine lately so I’ve kind of forgotten what a big difference there really is between the methods. Honestly, I was disappointed with the job that I did with the Chemstractor. On the other hand my little lady did a fantastic job. I was proud of the job she did.

So I’m glad I just ordered another Cimex for this truck this past Friday (should arrive around Wed/Thur). Now we’ll have two Cimex machines on the truck for evenings like this. That will be nice
