Cimex Is Heavy!!!!

I have an R38 Cimex- it weighs about eighty-five pounds, but it feels like a ton when I try to lift it. I know the 19 inch is even heavier.

I intend to use my Cimex in residences (wash cycle with pre-spray) as well as other small commercial situations, but I would like to ask for some tips as to the best way to transport and carry it.

Cleaned some landings in an apartment house today and had to carry the Cimex up some stairs-Wow!

That's the main reason why we don't recommend the Cimex for residential carpet. This is not a suitable tool to be used on residential carpet on a regular basis. On commercial it ROCKS! But for residential it is not an ideal choice at all. Ed York may have a different suggestion for you.

Yes the Cimex machines are stout. Your 15” machine weighs 75 pounds (similar to many floor machines) whereas the 19” machine that the fellows here are using weighs 106 pounds. A ramp is a good idea for these machines. Here’s a post showing a very simple ramp that we use...
