Commercial Bid Help

I did a ladies house this afternoon and she was very impressed with the results. I only did a a familyroom and stairs. It turns out that her husband is the district manager for a very large retail store chain with four stores and probably 12,000-15,000 sqft of carpet per store. She mentioned that the carpet cleaning in the stores are a sore spot for him. She called him while i was there. I am pretty much in the door.

I spoke with Rigk G. and he helped me establish a price of 9.7 cents a sqft (I do everything), or 6.7 cents a sqft, they move fixtures and pre vacuum.

They want the carpets done every six months. How much would you charge to fo in between cleanings and do spotting and gum removal?

I would figure a price per hour to charge for those items. Maybe $50 per hour, they get to choose what areas or items to be addressed. That price gets them the chems and expertise for the spot and gum removal.

For touchups of traffic areas I would charge my price per foot with a so many foot minimum- maybe 2,000.

With the Cimex you have very little set-up time so it is a snap to do small area touch-ups.

One thing about pricing...just because your using the speedy Cimex..dont always drop your price...if its a sore spot for the guy...and you have a good referral "his wife" You first find out what he is paying now...he just might be paying more than you think..and you hate to shoot yourself in the foot by going to low....you show him that you can do 10x's the job..and at at the same price he is currently paying...especially if its higher 5 cents with the cimex is nice..but .10 or .15 on large jobs..whooooohooooooo
