| Hey Cimex maniacs,
Several jobs lately I have used my Cimex in conjunction with HWE and pad cleaning. Jobs have come out great.
But, I wonder about the proper sequence sometimes. Last job we did:
!0 year old commercial olefin carpet in a bookstore, never been cleaned, ha ha. (yeah, I get some lame jobs, sometimes--but this one was for $350 and took 90 minutes incl. set up and tear down.
prevac
prespray
Cimex with Spin Vac
HWE
Oscillating Pad
Result: awesome
Job before that:
HWE (yeah, didn't vac, LOL)
Let dry--looked crappy
4 days later--CImex with Spin Vac
Owner ecstatic
Other jobs have come out great with just Cimex Encap cleaning but some jobs are just too dirty for that to be enough.
I would like to hear from you other cleaners who are using the Cimex in different ways and get info from your experiences.
What say ye?

I like to HWE first, then go back the next day, or two and Encapsulate last.
That way I get the extraction of the particulate, then with the encapsulating, I get any thing that wicked up.
The carpet looks brighter after Encapsulating, than it does after HWE.
Carpet also seems to stay clean longer doing it that way.
Course, that's just on jobs that are nasty, and the customer does'nt mind paying for the extra service.

Well, after I spoke with you yesterday Steve, Derek (my 15 yr old son) & I went to clean a commercial carpet that I thought was 5 or 6 yrs old. Found out when we got there they replaced it in Oct. of last yr. Anyways they had some mats down that looked like it blended right back in. COOOOOL! Of of course I havan't seen it or talked to the owner. Will be doing the P & VP hms. this week, they own a cell phone Co, & no I don"t pay for my phones. I'm using pure hogs hair pads, hope this is'ant too agressive for the carpet. How many sq. was that job you did in 90 min.? Gonna line up a Doctors office next. First time I used my old, new looking Cimex, as we painted (sprayed) it to look like the new ones, kinda, Lime flouresant & MI. blue, Looks ah nice! Also mounted a new 3 gal. tank from powerflite. Oh yeah we also presprayed this job, 100 ft. ahead. Do you guys try an get under desks ? I do being the perfectionist I am, long handled brush, a little too much you think? I mean under the low parts, 3-5" clearance.I just use a plastic broom w/split bristles, for between desk & walls. So what does the padding do Steve, or how does it help it? Never used em. Got one pad from powerflite yrs ago & chem. never even tried. Got 175 Clarke swing. Or were you using Cimex for this too. Man , do I get go'in or not! I'm into it! Sorry so long, Talk to ya all soon.

Hey Gary,
I used the CCS OP machine after the Cimex and HWE. THe pads were black.
It was only about 700-800 s.f. or so.

So what do you think my best bet would be for padd ing? Cimex or Clarke swing since I don't have ccs.

Probably the rotary with a thin aggressive cotton pad. I Think the Cimex with cotton pads the size of a Big Mac would be a pain. LOL. |

I ordered some used hotel bathmats(ercwipingproducts.com) for my nasties, or you could just go to salvation army and pick up some towels either way fold the ends over a floor pad set rotary on pad to anchor corners and you have a fire and forget, low cost solution to your post pad.
I also cut them in half for my CCS in the nasty scenarios like Steve had, don't want to wash something if its that nasty.
