It’s True What They Say

The happiest two days of a boat owner’s life, the day he buys it and the day he sells it.

It was a boat that I wanted since I learned to sail when I was a kid back in the early 80’s. It was old (an ‘82) and tired when I bought it about 5 years ago. I paid a whopping $435.00 for boat and trailer and by the time I sold it today for $1250 I had about $2400 in it. Not to bad, I only lost $1200 in the deal. When it comes to toys, and especially boats, I think I made out pretty well.
I had a lot of great times on that boat; it was a 16’ G-Cat. But I gonna have even more fun on the 21’ G-Cat that’s going to replace it.

It started with a 28ft C-scow, then a Ranger 26 and now a 30ft Soverel. It's always at least $100.00 every time we break something.

Just a money hole in the water...but we love it!
