I've been working on the development of a new encapsulation detergent. It's been several months in the planning stages. Well it's getting close to ready.
The formula is based on ideas that I've been working on for a while now. I have worked closely with a manufacturer who can build exactly what I'm looking for. To begin with we're starting off with a very good crystallizing polymer. The new product froms a nice crystal that will hold soil very well. The detergency has proven to be very capable too. This product foams a little better than Spin Vac.
The new product also contains DuPont Zonyl Fluorochemical. This is in the DuPont Teflon family. Fluorochemicals lower the surface tension of the fiber during cleaning. The end result of using a good fluorchemical is threefold. It aids the crystal to release from the fiber. It also provides a minor improvement in the detergents cleaning ability. And it leaves the surface of the carpet in a state that will not attract soil.
Another sort of cool feature to this product is that it contains Tea Tree oil. Tea Tree extract has some odor killing properties. I felt that if the product is going to have a fragrance - the fragrance might as well be accomplishing something for us. Tea tree oil is an expensive ingredient, but I feel that the value outweighs the cost.
So the million dollar question is... can you have a good crystallizer that also contains Tea Tree and Zonyl. The answer is yes, we got it to work together. It's a well crafted product. I can't take all the credit - I got plenty of technological help with along the way. I came up with the ideas - and then I let the chemists figure out how to maintain the balance of the recipe.
So the new product has excellent detergency, it forms one of the best crystals I've seen in any product, it is built on DuPont's Zonyl Fluorochemical, and it contains Tea Tree oil. Even with the costly Zonyl and Tea Tree oil - I'm expecting that the new product will be reasonably priced too. So as you can see I've tried to cover all of the bases.
The name for the new product is Releasit. The website is up and running, if you'd like to take a look. Let me know what you think.

I'm excited about the new product. This isn't another me too wannabe encapsulator. I've developed it from the ground up with the thought that this will be a special product. I hope I'm right
