CIMEX on steps.

I have a job on next Saturday, about 8000 sf, but half of it is up-stairs, how easy is the CIMEX to climp the steps, and how one person can roll the CIMEX downstairs, after finish, because I know how heavy Cimex is. It needs two people to handle that?

I have done it before but it is a bear. One thing I do is to tilt the handle a little lower then the fully upright position. This allows the head to still clear the steps but if I get tired or off balance the head can rest on the step with only a little handle tilting while still leaving me enough leverage to still resume lifting the unit after a rest. Also the handle leans back a touch and it is easier to use your body weight to balance the unit. Take your time and stop part way up is my advice.

Oh- Also try to run out the shampoo tank before going up the steps- a full tank can add alot of weight.

That is a good question Chris, my machine came today and once i got it uncreated i had a hard time getting up my deck steps. They are open in the front and the small wheels were wanting to go inside of them not over. Man that thing is way more heavier than the RX-20
picking it up.

Can bigger wheel's be put on it?

Ades,

Glad to hear that you got your machine! It's nearly impossible to pull the machine up when you've got open steps like you have there Ades.

It really is easiest to have two people when you're going up stairs. One person on the handle and one person on the front of the machine. Hey maybe we could get Cimex to build-em lighter. But then they wouldn't scrub like a Cimex any longer would they?

I would also recommend using a ramp for your truck. Here’s a simple ramp that I built...

Enjoy your new machine! Call me if you have any questions 1-800-330-1888.

Just be careful Chris, It can and will get away from you I had this happen on Monday of this week, Just lower the handle and go slow, I managed to save mine from taking the express route down, But in the process I slopped Spin-Vac all over the bottom floor, Not a pretty site thank god no one was looking,

I made the same ramp that Rick has just instead of going to a welder to make the brackets, Home Depot has a kit you can buy for about 20 dollars that gives you the same effect without having to make another stop

See ya Jim
