A question and an answer from Truvox

I hope that you can answer a question for me.

I own and use a 24" Cimex. One of the dispensing tubes is clogged and I have no idea how to unclog it. Can you help me???

The revolving table has a brass fitting over the tube, that I cannot remove.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

To unclog dispensing tubes you have to remove the plastic plug on the bowl.
There are three of them. You will find 3 indentations on the top of the bowl casting. Each indentation has a plastic plug in situ which you can pull out (remove).
Then take a piece of wire and push wire into the channel, this will remove any obstruction and the solution will return to normal fluid flow.
It is a good idea after each use to flush through clean water to avoid this type of blockage.

I hope this helps

Peter

Peter,

Thanks for bringing helpful information to the fellows here. It's great to have the company CEO reading and sharing information on this board

The solution you described is the design on the newer models. It's a cool feature for keeping the plumbing clean! But if it's one of the older designs it won't have those plastic caps. The older models are more difficult to clean out.

NOTE:
If any of you are using LST in your machines, flush it out after every job. LST is a wonderful gentle cleaner. But LST contains clay sediment. We've seen LST tenaciously clog the Cimex solution tracts. So be careful if you use this product in your Cimex machines.

Peter,
I appreciate your quick response to my question. The problem is, there are no plastic plugs to remove. The plugs are brass, and I have not been able to remove them. I have asked Rick and the gentleman where I purchased it several years ago, and neither can give me a satisfactory answer. Is there anyone in your organization that can help me figure out how to remove the brass fittings without tearing up my machine??
Thanks again for your response.

Sounds like an older machine

We have only been the "Cimex Custodians" for a few months.

This sounds like an older machine

I am asking around to see what we can find out

Peter,
Thank you so much. My employees and I love the machine, and are just about ready to buy another. So any help that you can render will be greatly appreciated.

Can the clog be removed by vacuuming it out from above? Perhaps using the end of the vac hose of a shop vac?
I have a different machine, but I have removed clogs of lint from the dispensing valve by vac from above.

I hope this helps.

Hey Gary, and all others,
I finally got it unplugged. I took an air compressor into my building and used it to blow through the tube from the bottom of the rotating table. After several blasts of air from the compressor, it finally came unplugged, and everything is working well. I will more than likely buy a new 19" soon. I have three cases of Releasit to try, and as soon as I see what kind of results I get, I will probably by the 19".
THANKS AGAIN TO ALL & TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT.
