A couple of times I've filled the tank all the way up with 6 gallons of detergent. But I like to use a bucket heater to get the detergent HOT. So I prefer to use 3 gallon buckets, because it doesn't take as long to heat up the water. Three gallons will allow me to clean about 900 sq ft and that has been sufficient for me in most cases.

I do it in 5 gallon increments. I have a 5 gallon jug that I use. I go and use hot tap water to fill the jug up. Then I measure out the Releasit and pour it into the holding tank first. Then I pour the water in next. Gets a good thorough mixing and the water is as hot as can be coming out of the tap. Never really noticed any differences going hotter then tap, the times I have tried it.

Tony's point about filling the bucket with water and putting the concentrate in the machine's tank is a good one. Us old pros know if you put the concentrate in the bucket, then fill the bucket with water, there is a LOT of foam to deal with in the bucket.

So, only clear water in the bucket!!
