Cleanfax asked me to write an article about encapsulation. As I worked with Jeff Cross, I asked if I could write the article in such a way that it could be used to not only explain the encapsulation process. I wanted to write an article that could also be used to help carpet cleaners sell the concept to their prospective clients. I have heard many requests for assistance in presenting encapsulation. That's why I put together the marketing piece, and that's what I had in mind when I wrote this article.
The article should be useful for presenting to commercial carpet cleaning prospects. For instance: The article doesn't say how easy it is to clean with this method, how inexpensive the equipment is, how fast you can clean etc. I was happy that Jeff agreed to let me write the article in this context. I see that in editing a "square foot cost" was added to my original draft, but aside from that there's nothing in the article that would in any way be counter-productive to use in your sales approach with your prospects.
So you might consider adding this article to your sales arsenal. That was the intention of the article from my perspective. When folks see something in print in a major trade journal it becomes easier for them to accept it. Hopefully this article will be useful to all of you as you approach new business.
