| I have been cleaning for 20 yrs. and I am tired of steaming commercial carpet, does encap really work? Or are most of the techs using this system, janitors trying to expand their buss. |

Yep. It does work. Trust me, if you don't trust Rick.
Or, don't take anybody's word for it, get some, try it yourself, and see.
I bet you like it.

You bet it works, most of the people you see posting on this board are carpet cleaners, not janitors.
Like Gary's post I go back to the late 60's in this business and I rank this as one of the best improvements I have experienced in the business.
Started out shampooing and vacuuming when dry in those early days, did not work back than because of the chemicals we used, had a lot of resoiling.
The new encapsulation detergent is fantastic, been using it every day for over a year and I am still amazed at the results, no re-soiling, great looking carpets, easy to do, fast drying. What more could one ask for? |

I agree with Steve Smith,......Plus the carpet stays clean longer than with anything else I've ever tried. |

Addressed to those of you who have experience
encapping with both the Cimex and a good-quality
orbital (I have the new 3/4 h.p. Challenger): which
machine handles more easily?

Although the Conqueror does a fine of encapping, the Cimex will do the job much faster. A kid could easily use the Cimex machine... it is very easy to push.
It is great to have both machines in your arsenal! |

Does your machine have a shampoo tank/ shower feed?
If not, your gonna have to use a pump up sprayer. That will kill your production rate. |

| No Tank | December 10 2003, 10:10 PM |
The Challenger has not yet been adapted to carry a
tank. However, it closed-center pad driver can be
removed and replaced with the Oreck LowBoy's open-
center pad holder, which would allow a liquid feed.
I also have a few LowBoys. Don't know if they are
able to handle a tank, either. Possibly the free
up and down movement of the handle is a limiting
feature, since it doesn't lock in place as it would
on a rotary machine. Anyone else's thoughts on this?

Hey Steve,
Great pictures!!! After 30+ years of cleaning carpets it's hard to believe that there is a product on the market that does such a good job with such little effort. I think it was invented so that some of us old guys could not retire.
Have a great day!!! |

I have switched all my commercial accounts over to encapsulation with a Cimex and I'm not going back. I used to dread doing some of them but now I look forward to the job. |

An account of my son's, a factory office where they make ceramic and glass kilns, and always has a ton of dust etc from the factory because of all the sawing of bricks, then lots of spills of coffee and other drinks that turn the dust to mud, has been cleaned with a tm and RX-20, tm and wand, tm and Chemstractor, bonneted, shampooed, and many combinations of the above, ALWAYS had to be re-done once or twice, and the cost of the second and third trips brought the profit down to nil.
Encapping it the last time, one trip. Never looked as good. All the wickbacks gone. Profit time. Overhead nil compared to other processes.
