Demo Tip

Always use new pads when doing a demo. I did one the other day. The pads were about half gone.
I turned the machine on and set it down on the the carpet and PUFF. It looked like sand came flying out of the pads on to the carpet.
I am thinking this was just dried Releasit. The demo went ok but next time Ill be more ready. Anybody got any other demo tips

Another idea would be to just take the pads off before the demo and give them a good shake off in the truck. I too notice that the pads seem to get a good bit of sand in them.

Also a good idea to wipe of the machine prior to a demo- a few seconds of wiping came make a machine look bright and new verse old and worn. Perhaps even using armor-all might brighten it up some.

Why not wash the used pads before doing demo, I would prefer to have used pads for the demo, never know what you are going to be asked to clean, if it is a cut pile carpet used pads are better, new ones are going to be a bit aggressive and may ruin demo, better yet you should take brushes, or bonnet pads for the Cimex just in case.
You should try to control the demo, and not let your protential customer control you.
