I asked a Von Schrader cleaner to test Releasit in his Von Schrader LMX carpet machine. Releasit didn't produce a rich enough foam for the LMX machine. Von Schrader's equipment depends on a very dense foam. Releasit produces a very light foam. But it's possible that it might work just fine in the VS upholstery machine since that machine works a little differently from their carpet machine. If you decide to try it please let me know how it works.

Try it, it might work. If it did not work because the foam was too thin, perhaps using Releasit encapsulating detergent would work as a pre-spray and just use the rotating brushes of the VS furniture machine to work it in.

thats how i thought it might work, as a prespray and then agitate it with the rotating brushes of the vs machine. im just not sure how encap will work on upholstery especially on theater seats which have alot of spills on them.

Experiment. I would start with the normal dilution and then adjust as needed. I'm confident that encapsulation would be a good technique for your application. Give it a shot.

I agree with Rick- since this has not been done before, it can only be a guess. Educated guess by other applications, of course, but not direct knowledge.

When you have the answer, please let us know.

Thanks-
