AARRGGH!! My first failure

So, yesterday, feeling so smug about Releasit removing filtration lines, at another home where I just did the Family room (Lotsa dog body soil, which did come out fine) Mrs Customer asked me about the filtration lines in the Living room. Around the 2 registers and about 3 feet along the wall. No problem sez I. I got this whipped. I sprayed on the 50-50 mix, brushed it in, all gone, looked great. No charge, Ma'am.

About 7 or 8 pm, she calls, says the filtration lines looked worse than before I started. Hmmm. I set it up for today to go back.

Her living room carpet was olefin berber. The one the day before was nylon plush. Now I am looking at a 2 to 3 inch dark gray line around the registers and along the wall. Remove the registers. Spray on regular Releasit, and brush in, then towel off. AARRGGHH!! My towel filled up fast with gray gunk. Then I went over it again with alcohol, thinking the detergent may contribute to resoiling. Towel that off, finally get back to white. One towel, totally fulla black gunk. Apparently too much soot to encapsulate. Or I got it too wet. Or maybe the trick don't work on olefin. Took me 1 full hour to do the job. Filled 2 towels totally full of gunk. Looked great when finished, but so did it yesterday. I sez to her, if it comes back, I am gonna truck mount it next time.

Well, it is 7:30 pm as I write this, and she has not called back yet. Keeping my fingers crossed.

So it goes with freebies. No good deed goes unpunished. Or something like that.

Thank you for humbling me Gary. Reading your recent posts was starting me thinking that our Releasit could maybe just scare the dirt right out of the carpet. So it's back to reality for me now. It looks like Releasit won't scare the dirt out of the carpet, stop terrorism, end world hunger, or cure cancer. Dang! I guess I'll just have to go and invent me up another product that will LOL

I was beginning to think it was perfect, but no, it is about this much short of being perfect---> <----

Oh well.
