Orick Orbiter

Rick, or anyone using the orbiter for encap.

I have picked up a used one and the only thing that came with it was what looks like a plastic pad driver.
It is just a plastic disk that slips over the bottoom of the matchine and has little spikes on it to hold a pad in place while running on the floor.

I don't see where this will work for doing steps as when you pick it up the pad will just fall off, are you guys using a diff pad driver with smooth bottom and making up special pad with velcro to hold it on or something?

Should I grind off the spikes on this one and use that or do they make a smooth one that I can get and do something like the velcro on some pads that I cut down from 17" ones and velcro on bottom of smooth driver?

Will Velcro even work ? I should have asked that also.

Once you start running the pads on that driver the pad should become attached to the driver. I agre that their pad driver is not the greatest. If there's a problem with your driver you can buy a replacement from Oreck very cheaply (and I think they may have a newer design if your model is older). Have fun with Lil Jiggly.
