After replying to Gary's post below about the area rug I cleaned I was thinking:
1 Could encap clean oriental rugs really well - down to the knots like a good hosing or is it not thorough enough?
2 One of the problems for the customers wih bigger area rugs is the pain in the rear of taking the rugs out and having them gone for a week or so. I think this is why they sometimes don'nt do them often enough. What about an in home maint plan for oriental rugs using encap so they can reamain clean in between taking them out and to the plant?

Good idea, Bob!! I have encapped several rugs on site, just the same as wtw carpet. Now, these were not filthy, or full of urine, etc, just average soils, and no way to really deal with a fringe.

But transporting rugs is a pain, extra insurance while in my hands, small but real possibility of subsequent problems while in my hands, etc.

I gave an estimate today for 3 more to do on site, nylon, not orientals- but as long as they are in fairly good shape, just average soil, why not?
