Look up Millicare website and you will find that they have 60 -70 franchizes accross the US. Out of all carpet mills they are the only one that has been successful in Commercial Carpet Cleaning. Normaly you will find them in very high profile accounts. Very hard too unseat them as they usually have the account tied to a warenty program.
They still lead with their MILLICARE CAPTURE POWDER program but can and will use other systems to supplement the powder system. Normaly they are very highbrow sales. We have unseated them with using Capture ourselfs or you may find a customer who is dissatisfied with them and may leave you in with a new system where Encap. may work as a lead.
It really will depend on where you are in U.S. as well if you are on the east coast they have a huge Guy out there 70 plus employees do very upscale work plus carpet reclamation. They are like a good NBA team TIMBERWOLVES for example as they have so many weapons to come after you with.
Good luck if you can get more specific on the account maybe all of us here can help see a crack to get you in.

Hard to sell against, as Milliken also makes capture.
They use their power to have clients use the Millicare maintenance program, you will not find it in writting, but it happens all the time.
Does it clean as well as the encap products, hard to define that end of the cleaning process. You will find that carpets that are cleaned on a regular basis with this process will be loaded with a white powder.
On one account I was bidding on I pulled a carpet tile and turned it upside down on the facility managers desk and started tapping the back of the carpet and as the powder started to cover his desk he got the point, it is almost impossible to remove the powder with conventional vacuuming.
Easy to beat the pricing impossible to beat the Milliken B.S.

Thanks Guys,
I have a client that is in the janitoral business. He extracts once a year, and spots the rest of the time.
Millicare came in and cleaned a spot in the carpet and really wowed the consumer. There was a drastic difference. I will get in touch with Rick and try to load some pictures. The problem is that this carpet is not really maintained as it should be. They want me to write a program for them on how to maintain the carpet.
I am wondering if the encapuslation process will make as big an impression on this carpet. I am wondering if the Millicare people use any H2O2 in their prespray to get this initial wow look.
I personally use encapuslation in my maintenance work, but have never cleaned a dirty carpet with it.
BTW the company that uses the janitorial company is a big dollar drug manufacturer. BIG DOLLARS!!! Almost 2 million sq. ft. of carpet. |

If they allowed Milliken to do a test clean than why not go in and do your own test area.
2 million sq ft of commercial carpet is not something to take lightly go for it.
There is no reason that encap with a Cimex machine can not out clean the Milliken system, the pricing for Millicare system is very expensive compared to other maintenance programs so you should have ample room to price the job so you can make a very nice profit, year after year.
E-mail me direct if you want more info on planning a maintenance program on a job this size.

Hey Don,
Thanks, I appreciate your kind help, and I will be contacting you.
I know that Millicare is using some kind of an oxidizer in their prespray to get such a contrast.
I was hoping someone on this board was familiar with what they were using.
Thanks again.
