Where has anyone found the best deal on one of these machines? I am planning on using this tool to clean stairs when encapping. I also think it would be a great tool to scrub prespray in when I need extra agitation on trashed residential carpet using HWE.

They usually sell new for around $500. If you will call around to the Oreck stores, you may find a "demo" model for around $300. Here's a link to the commercial Orbiter on their website...

Just make sure it is the red Orbiter. The red one is their "commercial" model (commercial, what a joke). These machines are wimpy, but they do the trick for steps. However they also have a white machine with about half the horsepower for "residential" (an even bigger joke).

In the mall where I did a large furniture store Tuesday night, there was an Oreck store, so I went in and had a look around. The orbiter was on sale there for $495.00. And no, I did not buy one.

However, if I was going to buy one, it would be there where if anything went wrong, they could fix it, if you bought on E-bay or other places, who would fix it?

Gary
