now for a question

do you sell any Fiber Plus pads larger than 17"? if i was to get a 17" or 20" rotary, from what i have read here, i would want to go with a pad that is about an inch wider than the machine.

thanx --- Derek.

Derek,

The FiberPlus pads create more surface resistance than slippery shampoo brush bristles can (that's why we all prefer them). And this resistance will likely be too great using such a large sized pad. When we tested a 20" standard rotary machine with pads for carpet cleaning it blew circuit breakers. So I'm thinking that 17" is probably about as large as you would want to consider for carpet care.

And hey I'm glad you found the forum and like it. Please come back and post often!

Derek- the 17 inchers work fine under my Chemstractor.

I have found they work the foam up more than the brush, so the Ready-to-Use goes further, and it also keeps the carpet a bit drier than the brush.

Gary I think you may have an older Chemstractor design. The largest pads that can be run under the newer "Thoromatic" built machines is a 15" pad.

OK, that would explain a phone call I got about that- he said 15 inches, but I was not aware that was the case.

Mine is an older one all right- a 1980 model.
