Yep I like what Don said too!
It's simple...
We're in this business to serve.
If we do it well, we're rewarded.
But in reality, I see business as a means to an end.
What do I mean by this? I'll try to explain...
Sometimes I like to think about the difference between being rich and having wealth. Bill Gates is really rich. He may also have a measure of wealth, I don't know.
Meanwhile, I have a LOT less money than Bill Gates. But I also know this... When Mr. Gates drinks his Starbucks coffee in the morning, it doesn't taste any better in his mouth than the Starbucks coffee in my mouth. And a sunset doesn't look any better to his eyes than it does to mine. And his roses don't smell any sweeter either.
My point is this... Money is a good thing. But it's not everything. Life is made up of minutes, hours and days. That is really all that any of us have. I believe that it's what we do with those minutes, hours and days that contributes to real wealth.
So I'm trying to accumulate wealth. I'll probably never be very rich.
