Carpet Roamer

Does anyone currently use this brush made be Whittaker for spotting. It looks like it could be a good tool to have. Especially, when you get a call from a person that only needs to get a few stains removed.

I had one,...just sold it on ebay. To me it is just as easy to roll the GLS in as it was to use the carpet roamer.

Actually it's easier.

With the Roamer your gonna have to carry a trigger sprayer, or pump up.
With the GLS I just pour some Crystal Dry in the tank,...and wheel the GLS in the building. Don't have to carry anything else,...and I let the GLS do the scrubbing, instead of me.

Ray Moody sold me his Carpet Roamer for $15 at the Macon Mini-Fest. We don't use it very often.

But it does come in handy for one account that that we service which is made up of about 75 small offices. We perform a monthly "spot" cleaning for them, in addition to regularly scheduled carpet cleaning.

Here's what we do: We walk through the buildings and look for soda spills. My tech takes a pump up sprayer with Releasit and walks through each office. When he finds a spill he sprays the spot and then hand scrubs it with the Roamer.

It would not be practical to move any machine into all those offices, having to re-plug continually along the way. This approach turns the job into a 1 hour service that we charge $175 for. Not bad.
