has anyone had the cimex break down? how hard is it to get parts to fix it? What type of warranty comes with the machine? where to find and how much should one expect to pay for a gls?

All parts are readily available. The Cimex comes with a year warranty. Does it break? Not too likely. The machine really is OVERBUILT. We hear of lots of 20+ year old machines still in service (they've been around now for 71 years).

There are a few parts on the machine that are plastic, and these could break - but these parts are also very inexpensive and simple to replace if that occurs. The belt will eventually wear out after a few years, and it too is easy to replace. The Cimex is not a dainty machine. It's built like a Hummer.

The GLS? Well this is the Cimex forum, so I'll leave that one alone.

A friend of mine has an old Cimex- somewhere around 15 to 20 years old he bought second or third hand. He has had it a couple years, no repairs needed so far since he has had it.
