Some of you probably already do this but here goes. I like to have my extension cord laying over the handle where I can get to it to flick it out of the way. But it falls off the handle. It didn't take long to tape it on the handle. But I put a twist to this. I taped it on the left side of the handle so the cord partially blocks the travel of the solution trigger. This accomplishes somewhat of a stricture of the hose so that less solution is dispensed. But that's good. I don't have to pump the trigger as much. I can hold the trigger as far as it will go and get a more even flow. I still have to pump the trigger but not nearly as much.
Secondly, I don't seem to use as much solution, but get the same cleaning as before.
Try it. You might like it, unless you can't use your left hand to flick the cord around. Learn to use your foot - that works also.
I don't claim to be an expert yet but I'm getting better at moving without stopping.
Got something better. I'd love to hear about it. I want to do it better and faster.

No Bo you have it all wrong!

We want them to use more solution, not less. You're fired.

LOL

Actualy that's an interesting idea - I'll have to give that a try myself. Thanks.

I have been running that same way for a while. It works great, I have noticed, until you get to the last few gallons in your tank, then I notice the lack of flow makes me slow down slightly. After a while you will get even more used to the control and eventually find a part throttle position that allows the almost constant partially open position for proper wetting out of the carpet. Then as the tank volume drops, you adjust accordingly.

As a previous pulse on/off throttle user, I find it easier to maintain constant movement with the partial throttle technique. Another adjustment that helps is to close the ball valve partially. This helps level the flow from the handle valve some. Play around with it some and you might just find a good position to place the ball valve that still gives you the full tank and near empty tank range that the hand control provides.

Think of it this way. Cleaner and faster - I get more jobs - even more solution used. Bottom line - you sell even more of your soup - err - that is, I mean, encapsulating, crystalizing, carpet cleaning magic.
I do have a problem - I've got a bunch of another brand of soup that isn't bad but not as good as Releasit. I've been using it up on carpets that aren't very dirty but I feel like I'm cheating my customer. Oh, well.
I need that encapsulating traffic lane cleaner! How soon will it be out?

If you pull a TM wand for many years, the arthritis and carpal tunnel you get in the hands will cure the problem of pulling to much on the solution handle. If you are like me, I put the cord over your shoulder. After you own a cimex for a while, the medidcal problems go away. Your tip will then come in handy. I think I am going to get fat running the cimex.
