Jim,

I got your voicemail after we closed regarding the pads. There are only the two types of pads for the Cimex available at this time --- FiberPlus Pads and Stripping Pads. There has not been interest in other types of pads. We have to purchase a large quantity of pads to get the pads cut in a custom size i.e. 7-3/4". Nobody has expressed interest in the other pads up till now. So it looks like we only have the two pad types to offer you. The FiberPlus pads can be used for floor scrubbing as well as carpet cleaning, however they're not going to be as aggressive as red, blue or green pads. Here's an alternative for you... You can purchase 20" pads in any style or color and cut them to the correct size with good household scissors using the pad driver as a template. Let me know if you need more information.

i would cut them as Rick said. i will be scrubbing & waxing some VCT this weekend. i plan on cutting to size some 20" black pads for the scrubbing.

when using a low speed rotary, i have always liked using the black not only for stripping but also for scrubbing and re-applying wax. does anyone think using black pads with the Cimex could be TOO aggressive for a scrub??

thanx --- Derek.

Derek,

If you'll be stripping floors you may want to check out our Dominator stripping pads for the Cimex. They are MEAN stripping pads.

appreciate the suggestions. you would think the makers of the cimex would get the pad manufactures to make pads for the cimex.

Rick are the fiber plus pads cut from champagne colored pads?

Jim,

Glad we could answer some of your questions for you. No, the FiberPlus are not cut from the champagne type pads.

BTW, If there's sufficient interest in either green or blue scrubbing pads for hard floor care, I can pursue putting another pad variety into our line of pads. How many would be interested in this?
