I totally agree. Residential cleaning can be profitable but you have to deal with lots of content maneuvering and it can be very fickle and seasonal.

My son is graduating from high school this year and is trying to decide on a career. To set him up with a Cimex/Releasit package and some training is simple and he would have to go to college for a long time in order to be able to make a $100 -$200 per hour.

We'll see what he decides

You are one cool DAD!!! Setting your son up this way is one of the greatest gifts you can give to him. Financial freedom.

I often wish I had started my business when I was 18 instead of 30. By now, I probably wouldn't even have to do any cleaning, just training and managing.

I had the benefit of my emphasizing that I could either work with my head or with my back and it really hit home and I have been in business for myself since I was 18 and I'm now 39. It's hard and not many people can handle the stress of a not having a set income, but when it works, it's great
