Need a little help!

If your not consistent dispensing the solution and you over wet the carpet in some areas, will it appear somewhat blotchy the day after?

I did a job last night, which had a lot of small confined spaces. It was difficult to maneuver the cimex and trigger the solution just right. It hasn't been 24 hours yet, but it appears a few areas look noticeably different than the rest of the carpet. Will that dissapate after vacuuming it a few times or was this an amateur mistake?

Kevin,

From your description it sounds like you may have had a problem evenly dispensing the solution. If you're dealing with a messed up carpet - make additional dry passes.

At this point it sounds like you may just need to make a quick pass over this carpet one more time with the Cimex to smooth out the appearance. Making a single slow lightly-wet pass should do the trick (feather out the detergent by tapping the trigger as you walk the machine).

As you gain more experience you'll become a pro in no time. It's easy as pie.

Call me on Monday if you have any questions or need further suggestions. I can explain things easier by talking than by typing. I'll be GLAD to assist you anyway that I can. Let me know how you make out.

I have cleaned about 30,000sq. so far. I have noticed one thing when trying to work in tight areas. When making a cleaning pass in big open areas with the cimex, you would turn and go over the same area, only this time it is a dry pass. When in tight areas, I will flip the switch and reverse the direction of the cleaning head.

Steve -
Are you sure you are accomplishing what I think you say you are doing? In a very tight area, there could be an improvement in cleaning on the very outside of the circle, but that would be quite marginable. In the open area, I get the impression you say that changing directions is changing the rotation of the Cimex. Am I wrong?
It is not necessary to change the rotation of the machine in an open area to improve cleaning, and the change of direction does not change the rotation of the machine, in relationship to the carpet.
If I misunderstand what you are saying, Steve, then I stand corrected.
I would think that changing the rotation of the machine is essentially unnecessary, except what the machine does automatically every time you stop and start the machine.
