Do you use encap on plush?, I've tried a couple of areas, seems to "ball" the fibres together. using white pad and swing machine.

thanks,
Brian

Hey Brian.
People report to having success on plush, but I still prefer to use my Butler TM and RX on plush. I then post bonnet. If it is clean, i bonnet clean alot anymore after prevacing really well on either method.
I have used encap for my own plush and it still looks great. I just dont want to get into that syndrome that I look for my Cimex and encap to take care of me each time. Maybe I should. lol

I have done 50 or 60 residential encap jobs with my Chemstractor which is a rotary shampooer, basically. I have shampooed and bonneted thousands over some 40 years, and don't have a problem like you describe.

If you are having problems, perhaps it is a matter of technique. I suggest since you are calling the roto a swing machine, the machine should NOT be swung side to side, rather the correct technique is to make ovals, keeping the handle level, not raising and lowering the handle.

Ovals clean all sides of the tufts, when done correctly, and you go over each sq ft left to right making ovals, overlapping 1/3 to 1/2 of each oval, then back across the same area, again overlapping 1/3 to 1/2 of the prior oval. Then drop down a row, and repeat, overlapping 1/2 of the prior row.

The first set of ovals, going one way, you drop the solution, going back over the same areas, do not drop solution. This works the detergent in, and cleans all sides of each tuft.

This applies to any deteregent when using a roto, whether shampooing, encapping or bonnet cleaning.
