| A month later and still learning...........
encapped a couple last weekend, I prevacuumed. When I got done cleaning, had some hairballs, lint, and flakes of gum where I'd removed some. Poor job of prevac? well maybe. So I vacuumed again, damp carpet, you know how well that worked, and plugged up my vacuum. Do you really never have to post vac if you do a GREAT job of pre vac?. Hate leaving a place looking like it needs vacuumed.
BTW, I just ordered a Dyson vac to use just for my encap work.
Thanks,

Sounds like you are really getting into this encapsulation thing.
And a Dyson? Man, that is high falootin. Can a Cimex be far in the future?
We pre vac and post vac because the equipment we use throws up so much stuff. But we always wait till it is dry.
We do the post vac because many of the places we do only have weekly cleaning and they pay us for it. If they didn't I probably wouldn't because it looks fine.
I like to vacuum a little then look in the dustcup, vacuum a little and look in the dustcup. I even will go around a corner then run back and sneak up on the vacuum. Where do all those crystals go? 8-)~

Racy huh, I wanted a purple one, but had to settle for a banana one. HHHHHHHHHmmmmmmmmmm trade VCT stuff for a Cimex? wonder who would do such a thing?

Brian-
When you said post vac and got your vac plugged up, did you mean the damp lint etc clogged the vac, or was the bag totally full?
If the damp lint clogged the vac because it is heavier than dry lint, perhaps a different vac could be in your future.
I post vac occasionally while still damp, and have not ever had a problem with clogging from the damp lint.

plugged from the damp stuff. I'm hoping the new Dyson vac will help some of the vacuum problems.

I hope it’s okay if a hard floor guy posts about Encaping.
A while back I did some carpets in a friends house with my Cimex DF and the carpets turned out very nice, including the pet stains (Wait, I mean the pet stains didn’t turn out fine, they were completely gone. I guess if they were still there they would have been very happy, but I don’t think my friend would have been too happy. So I guess I was fine that the pet stains were gone right?) The only problem was that I left a lot of fuzzy lint balls behind, hey; I said I’m a hard floor guy okay. No actually my truck is not generally set up for carpets and I had inadvertently gone out without my backpack or a rake.
Sooooo, last week when I did another friends house, actually it was a condo, (with two flights of stairs, and you carpet guys think you have it rough carrying your Cimexs up stairs, try a DF sometime). Anyway back to the story, this time I remembered to bring my backpack with me and I used it for pre & post vacing. I don’t think there were hardly any fuzz balls this time and it worked well also for leaving a nice pattern behind.

Rick’s little brother that hardly ever posts here ‘cause he rarely has any thing of much value to add to the carpet cleaning industry but sometimes thinks he’s just kept around ‘cause if he, being a hard floor guy, can Encap a carpet with out mess’n it up to bad (when he remembers to bring his vac) than just about anybody can Encap a carpet.
