Encap-Traffic

Well the new products have been out for about two weeks now. I've heard good feedback about the new spotter Encap-Spot, and I have heard good feedback about the new HWE rinse detergent Encap-Rinse. But according to the comments I've heard, the traffic lane product Encap-Traffic, has not been quite powerful enough in certain applications.

The reason Encap-Traffic is not a "fire water" traffic lane cleaner is because we sought to get excellent crystallization out of a non-foaming product. The crystallizing polymer that we used in Encap-Traffic is compatible with a non-foaming detergent. Spiking the detergency with this polymer would compromise the crystallization. So we walked a tight-wire between performance and crystallization. The crystallization aspect is perfect!

So I am working with the chemist right now to make an adjustment to Encap-Traffic. This will mean that the crystallization will have to be adjusted, these are the laws of chemistry. What we are looking at would be slightly less crystallization with more horsepower in the traffic lane cleaner. It's really not as critical that we have a phenomenally perfect crystal in the traffic lane pre-spray, since it will be rinsed out of the carpet with a very good crystallizing rinse product.

I spoke with a cleaner yesterday who successfully tried a neat trick with Encap-Traffic. He boosted it in his Hydro-Force sprayer by adding about 12 ounces of Encap-Spot to his sprayer. The performance according to this cleaner was fantastic on a heavily soiled carpet! (I LOVE GETTING FEEDBACK - positive as well as negative) So we will be looking at utilizing the spotter's chemistry into Encap-Traffic. This would be one potential way to boost Encap-Traffic's formulation.

So stay tuned for the final adjustments to Encap-Traffic. Out of the 4 new products we just launched, this one can still stand to get beefed up a little on the detergent side. The other 3 products are dialed in nicely! Thanks for the feedback from those of you who shared your thoughts with me. We will soon have Encap-Traffic tweaked. And the industry will have an entire group of encap products that perform extremely well.
