Flame-throwing

No, this is not going to be about insults.
I have a question - who has experimented with "flame-throwing" traffic cleaners and then followed up immediately with Releasit? No extraction. No bonneting. How did it work? Did you get encapsulation?
Yes, I know it's not supposed to work, but, someone out there has tried it, no?
Just curious.

i dont get what Flame-throwing is.

interesting question though....i would think that you'd be adding insult to injury maybe.?.

Releasit would now have to encapsulate all the pre-spray as well as all the dirt.

just my very inexperienced guesstimate lol.

thanx --- Derek.

That is the question, isn't it. How much can Releasit encapsulate?
So far, it looks like no one has tried it. But if you don't ask, you don't know.

Bo,

I'm assuming that Flame Thrower TLCs refers to TLCs with a pH of 12 and lots of cleaning "punch" (solvency). One product in this catagory would be KleenRite's High PH.

It is my understanding that yes, these fire breathing TLCs indeed are encapsulated when scrubbing with a Cimex (or rotary), FP pads, and Releasit.

Am I wrong about this?

ps. Back in the "ancient times" (4 or 5 years ago), Rick used to prespray with KleenRite's High PH before Chemstracting (also encapsulating) with VS Red Label. He said that the VS product encapsulated the TLC. So, I would assume that Releasit would do this only WAY better!

Be Careful

Just checking in again. Northern Vermont is like another world compared to SUNNNNNNY Florida.

To answer the question about using a fire breathing pre-spray - the answer is no. The crystallizing polymer that's used in Releasit will not accomodate other chems. We've learned through the formulating of these products that even slight variations of the chemistry will blow out the crystallization. So if you're hoping to encapsulate, then avoid introducing a Brand-X traffic lane cleaner - since you'll most likely throw off the crystallization aspect of the product.

Regarding what Mark was talking about using the Chemstractor a few years ago... Kleenrite's High pH pre-spray is a powerful product!!! But when we used it back then we never expected it to be encapsulated with Von Schrader detergent, because we were using the Chemstractor as a foam-extraction machine. BTW Herb Meyer of VS told me about 3 years ago that their products were not designed to perform as encapsulators. However I've recently heard that VS has started stating that their juice can encapsulate. Funny how that works isn't it? LOL! But I will say this about the Kleenrite/VS combo --- the carpets that we maintained on a regular basis - grayed out over time. And those same once grayed out carpets are being maintained now with Releasit and these carpets are BRIGHT! The difference is very obvious.

Bottom line: Be careful about introducing other chems when you're performing encapsulation. Releasit has a dilution for using it as a pre-spray right on the jug. This approach to pre-spraying provides some extra dwell time and it works well. We really haven't found any messed up carpets that we couldn't correct by pre-spraying Releasit and then scrubbing slowly with the Cimex. And we've heard from a lot of cleaner's from all around the country who are experiencing the same thing too.

It's pretty sad when I can't stay off the computer even when I'm on vacation isn't it? I wonder if there's some kind of 12 step program I can take.

Take care. See ya in a few days.
