"Mr." or "Ms." ?

do you recommend always referring to a prospect or client as Mr. or Ms. Jones?

if not, at what point do you call them by name?

I think it would be a big mistake to simply assume that your prospect's last name is Jones. LOL







P.S. Once I get to know the prospect we can move to a first name basis. I find that most folks don't want to be addressed overly formally. We live in a casual society these days - so a friendlier and more casual approach seems to work well.

If a woman introduces herself as "Mrs Jones" then I'll stay with that right through, but it's a rare event these days. I'll normally ask for a christian name & most are fine with me using that.
Different story with invoices & receipts though, I always use Ms since getting into strife for using Mrs instead of Miss once
