rotary extraction

August 23 2004, 11:38 PM

I have used a couple of rotary cleaning tools. A modified verion of an rx-20, and a rotary dri-master which I now own. I am very happy with it!! I can get under more things than an rx-20. Plus like the cimex it pushes away wires and cords without tangling. It does not scratch base boards. Another plus over rx- or rotovac is the water hits the carpet at the tempeture it comes out with. The others have 1.5" to 2" of spray pattern and looses alot of heat before it hits the carpet. I don't know if this helps anonymous.

Good post from Doug.
Although this probably isnt the forum for it, I will respond that having both is good.
but to only have one, i would definitely have the RX. many more uses, from post bonneting, stripping, scrubbing and better on trashed carpets,, hands down.
The RDM (rotary dri master) is nice. They are all tools and the more that you have in your 'toolbox' the better off you are and the better you service your customer base.
But money talks and sometimes we have to pick one over the other. Saying that, get the RX first, then the RDM.
Good luck in your purchasing decision.

If you have a truck mount that has enough vacuum to dry the carpet without several passes then get the rx 20 with the new design. If you want a residential only tool then go with the rotary dry master and turbo viper. I have them all with all the accessiores. The rx 20 is used the least. Get a cimex for the commerical carpet cleaning. Work with a supplier that will let you demo items before you buy, that way you can get a product you are happy with that doesn't set in the garage and collect dust.
