The standard FiberPlus pads are safe for all synthetic fiber, including residential. For an even softer approach the 4807 brushes are seriously gentle (they're like facial quality). But the FP pads really should be OK.

I have used the Fiber Plus Pads on many residential jobs, of all kinds of fibers.

Nylon, poly, acrylic, olefin, and wool.

They worked just fine on all materials.

On wool, they did pick up some lint but then I just reserved these pads for the same color wools next time. No problem. Cleaned great.

Go for it. You will be glad you did.

I was a bit apprehensive at first, too, but they actually worked better than a brush.

hiyas Barry

timely question! i am looking to take care of a furniture store. i was disappointed to see they have orientals (dunno yet the fiber identification), and i am wondering, if they do want them cleaned in addition to their gluedown carpet, will the cimex and FP pads be too aggressive? or cimex and soft brush attachment you mentioned Rick?

thanx in advance! --- Derek.

Re the furniture store with rugs.

I don't think the pads will be TOO aggressive. They MIGHT pick up some wool lint, and hang onto it, but no harm to the rug. Go for it.
