Rick, if you were to put the paid price on the packing list, couldn't that be used as a receipt for our tax purposes? save us the hassle of printing a receipt out. maybe i'm confused, not unlikely lol.

Technically speaking, packing slips are really not supposed to show pricing. The idea is that anybody seeing the packaging would have access to what you're spending on your products - employees, customers, nosy neighbors, etc. And of course, that's none of their business. So in all industries, the standard is to avoid putting prices on the packing slip. However we do automatically send an Invoice/Receipt via e-mail at the time of the sale. So that's the reason why our packing slips don't show pricing.

I have to agree with Rick. Sometimes you may be drop shipping chemicals or equipment to one place, an end user, and billing to another, like your distributor. Your distributor might not want the end user to know what the pricing on the merchandise really is.
