What insurance company do you guys recommend for getting your business liability insurance? Any really bad ones to avoid? Thanks for the suggestions!

We use to have Farmers. They kept raising the premium. Called a broker. We purchased Zurick, AAA rated. This company actually ownes Farmers. The Farmers Agent was a liitle upset.

We've used Auto Owners for several years. Don't let the name fool you - they insure more than just Autos. Our business liability as well as our vehicles are through them. They're EXPENSIVE. But what isn't these days? Oh yeah - the Cimex, that's still a bargain isn't it? Well besides the Cimex, everything else is crazy expensive. Overall I'd say that Auto Owners has been a good company to work with. And when I've shopped around a little they've seemed to be in line with the competition. I really should shop around some more but I just don't have the time to spend an entire day on the phone. I'll have to look into Zurick - thanks for that tip Steve.

I didn't want to spend all day on the phone either, Told the broker what I felt was needed. He did the rest.

My agent just switched me from West Bend to Acuity. About $1,200/year savings. mostly in workmans comp rates.
