was asked if i could do spot coloring for apartments where i clean .i have never done dying before.is is too complicated to do?

Spot dyeing can be tricky. I suggest taking a look first, and if the spots are only on 1 or 2 tufts, they can be trimmed out. If the size of a dime or bigger, they will need to be re-dyed. Spot dyeing is sometimes hard to match the original color, and if the spot dyed color is not right, it looks worse then the bleached out area. It can be tough to collect if it is not right.

Actually dying is simple - takes no great skill. No training courses are needed, since there's really no wrong way to do it. Throughout history, most everyone has done it once. Most all the folks reading this message board have never done it at all, despite what they may tell you. Just step in front of a moving train, or eat the Big Mac Special for 30 days straight and boom! you're all done for!

Dyeing, on the other hand, is tricky and it's possible to do it wrong. It may require special training.
