Tutorial: Using Releasit Encap-Clean with the Cimex

September 28 2004, 8:48 PM

I think we got your question covered over the phone Doug. But for others who may have the same question...

Releasit Encap-Clean is designed to foam just enough to provide a visual indicator of how much solution you're applying. It produces just the right amount of foam to help you dispense the solution evenly without posing any kind of a foaming problem. This feature of Encap-Clean makes it very easy to work with.

Here's how to work with Encap-Clean and the Cimex:

You only need to use enough Encap-Clean to wet out the fiber. You will see a light even whitening of the surface. That tells you that you've applied enough solution to the carpet. Avoid over-wetting the carpet.

Here are some techniques that you can use with the Cimex...

1) Normal Soil Conditions: Make a moderately quick wet pass holding the valve open. Then return making a slower dry pass. On the dry pass you will see a light whitening of the surface. You can tap the trigger every few steps on the dry pass to keep the pad lubricated. Avoid over-wetting. (This is the most common one-size-fits-all approach to cleaning with the Cimex and Releasit)

2) Trashed Carpeting: Do it exactly the same as above except you will make a few additional dry passes. Make 1 wet pass followed by 2 or 3 dry passes. On the dry passes you will see the light whitening of the surface. Avoid over-wetting.

3) Light Soil Load: You can clean by making just a single pass. In this case you will walk much slower making one wet pass. And instead of holding the valve wide open you will gently feather out the solution by tapping the trigger. One pass is all that's needed. On this single slow pass you will see a light whitening of the surface. Avoid over-wetting.

There are variables to how you will approach cleaning with the Cimex and Releasit but this should give you a good overview. And as always if you have questions just contact me - that's what I'm here for
